 SIOUX FALLS TOWER From its humble beginnings in South Dakota back in 1989
with just one crew, word of mouth carried Sioux Falls Tower’s business ethic and
reputation beyond the bounds of the Midwest. Now with years of experience we have grown to
be one of the nations premier tower companies with a “can do” attitude and a
strong commitment to safety.
Determined to branch out and create a national
presence, Sioux Falls Tower formed INTERMOUNTAIN TOWER SPECIALISTS, INC., in the spring of 1997.
From their home in Orem, Utah, they service the Western States and Pacific Coast States.
In 1999 Sioux Falls Tower and two other well respected
tower companies formed PERFORMANCE
DEVELOPMENT GROUP LIMITED to offer towers for lease. Now with an impressive
regional footprint, PDG assists our customers with collocation on robust towers ready when
they are.
In the early days of our corporation we
learned that worker safety sometimes is just not enough. The tower structure itself must
be sound and safe from the effects of corrosion. Anchor corrosion can cause the loss of
the structure and place lives in danger. In 1994 we formed ANCHORGUARD, LLC to provide the
industry with additional safeguards against corrosion and its effects. AnchorGuard’s
product is an engineered corrosion control solution to the harmful effects of underground
corrosion on guyed towers.
INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP Sioux Falls Tower employs very
talented personnel who take pride in the work they perform and use their knowledge and
experience for the betterment of the communications industry. Here are just a few of the
ways Sioux Falls Tower has given back to an industry that has given so much to us.
- Craig Snyder, our President, is one of the founding members of the National
Association of Tower Erectors (NATE) and is a former Chairman of the Board.
- Craig served eight years as the volunteer chairman of the Tower Standard
Writing Committee ANSI/TIA 222G, writing minimum standards for the design of communication
towers.
- Todd Thorin, our Safety/Training Director is former Chairman of the NATE
Safety and Education Committee (SAFETY)
